In Adventure World (Shirahama Town, Wakayama Prefecture), the 13th emperor penguin baby was born on October 1, 2019 (Tuesday).
The eggs were laid on July 26, and in order to prevent accidents where the eggs were crushed, the eggs were watched with an incubator and the birth was born safely.
The baby was born with an average weight of 300.6g. In Adventure World, the baby can grow up to about 500g in weight by the staff until the baby begins to gain strength. After that, artificial chicks are returned to the parent birds.

The baby is now living in the backyard and will be announced as soon as it is decided.
