Aquarium Friendship Project

In this project, four parks and museums in the Kinki region will cooperate with each other to improve each other's breeding techniques to further promote the breeding of rare animals.

Toba Aquarium

The museum is divided into 12 themed zones, where more than 1,200 species of sea and river creatures, including dugongs, are kept in a lively environment that incorporates nature.

Taiji Whale Museum

This is the only museum in Japan dedicated to whales.
The museum's main building exhibits more than 1,000 skeletal specimens of whales and materials related to whaling. It also has a show pool, nature pool, and marine aquarium. It is both a museum and an aquarium where visitors can learn about whales.
