Shirahama Town, Wakayama Prefecture. With the departure of the pandas that have long been beloved in this town, the area has reached a new milestone as a tourist destination. Amidst this, we were delighted to receive a passionate proposal from local shop owners who expressed a desire to “revitalize the town once again with the help of Adventure World’s unique animals,” and a new project has now been launched.
　Starting Wednesday, April 1, 2026, Adventure World and shops in Shirahama Town will launch the “Shirahama Smile Partner” initiative, a community co-creation partnership that connects the park and the town through the common language of “animals.”

[How the Project Works]
We have prepared two "Smile Experiences" that connect the park and the town.
Using "Animal Trivia Cards" as a medium, we aim to spark natural conversations between shop owners and customers, creating a "cycle of communication" that allows visitors to feel the warmth of Shirahama as a whole.

Smile at the Shops! After entering Adventure World, head to participating shops in Shirahama Town!
● Show your admission ticket at a store to receive an “Animal Trivia Card” (choose one from a total of 20 varieties)!
● Presenting your annual pass may also get you a special treat from the shop owner

Smile at the Park! After visiting participating shops in Shirahama Town, head to Adventure World
● If you enter the park after receiving an “Animal Trivia Card” at a store, the Ferris wheel ride is free!

　*The shop owner will select an animal species that suits you and present it to you as a gift.

Shirahama Town in Wakayama Prefecture is a unique town where some of Japan’s finest tourist attractions—including beautiful beaches, hot springs, and, above all, distinctive restaurants, souvenir shops, and bustling stores—are compactly concentrated. It is home to “shops” so charming that guidebooks alone cannot do them justice, and to the warmest of “people.”The park and the local shops share a relationship where they genuinely want to recommend each other to their guests. By turning this network of trust into a “cycle of recommendations,” we aim to elevate the entire Shirahama area into one grand experience. Through this project, we hope to help our guests get to know Shirahama more deeply and grow to love it even more.



・Please present your "Animal Trivia Card" to the staff at the Ferris wheel boarding area before boarding. *One card allows one person to ride.
・Please fill out a short survey indicating which shop you received the card from.
・If the Ferris wheel is closed due to strong winds or other reasons, you can ride another attraction (ride) once for free.
