Passing the Baton of Life to the Future A Golden Pheasant chick was born for the first time in seven years!

2026年02月27日(金)

At Adventure World, a baby Golden Takin was born on February 24, 2026, marking the first birth in seven years.
Golden Takin are designated as Vulnerable (VU) on the IUCN Red List. Due to their rarity, they are designated as a National Class I Protected Animal in their native China, alongside Giant Pandas and Golden Snub-nosed Monkeys, as one of the "Three Great Rare Animals of China." They are an extremely precious species, found in only four facilities within China. In Western Japan, they can only be seen at Adventure World.
Currently, the baby is thriving at Safari World, receiving deep maternal affection and growing strong, even walking vigorously on rocky terrain. Its adorable brownish-red appearance, before its fur changes to "golden fur," is a precious moment that can only be seen now.
Please warmly watch over the growth of this new life.
