 Adventure World will hold "bophelo - Blessing of Life -", an exhibition of animal paintings by South African artist Lebo Tladi, who lives in Shirahama, from September 4, 2025 (Thursday) to November 30, 2025 (Sunday) at Fureai no Sato in the park.
The word "bophelo" means "life" in the official language of South Africa, where Lebo has his roots. This exhibition will provide visitors with the experience of noticing the beauty of life through paintings of baby animals.

*Please note that viewing hours and conditions differ for the following dates:
September 6 (Saturday), October 11 (Saturday), November 15 (Saturday): Due to the convenience of the venue, viewing will begin at 1:00 pm.

Thoughts behind the exhibition title "bophelo"
"bophelo" means "life" and is used in three of the 11 official languages of South Africa: Sepedi, Sotho and Tswana. The title of the exhibition is intended to encourage people to think about and become aware of "life" beyond the borders of their countries and cultures. Artist Profile】
Mr. Lebo Tladi
Born in South Africa in 1994, Lebo Tladi is an artist currently living in Shirahama, Wakayama Prefecture. After studying graphic design and coming to Japan through the JET program (Japan Exchange and Teaching Program), he became independent in 2024 and began his creative activities rooted in the local community.

The theme of his work is "baby animals. She depicts them as symbols of innocence, curiosity, and hope for the future, and aims to convey the "beauty of life" to viewers. In the "Young Ones" series, his representative works, he uses baby animals from all over the world as subjects to express their loveliness and importance.

Having grown up surrounded by animals since childhood, he continues to believe that "animals connect people beyond national borders and cultures. Her lifework is to connect people to people and people to nature through art.
