Kick-off program for "WAKA×YAMA SUMMER IDEATHON 2025" organized by WAKA×YAMA, a student group for "Family Care Burden" with junior and senior high school students in Wakayama Prefecture, to be held at Adventure World on August 24, 2025 (Sunday)

Adventure World will co-sponsor "WAKA×YAMA SUMMER IDEATHON2025" (hereinafter referred to as "Ideathon"), an ideaathon on the theme of "The burden of family caregiving: Toward caregivers who live with their families and in their own way," organized by WAKA×YAMA, a student group working on solving various social issues in Wakayama Prefecture. The event will be held as a kick-off event. As a kick-off, a workshop will be held at Adventure World on Sunday, August 24, 2025. This IDEAthon is a program in which junior and senior high school students in Wakayama Prefecture will take the initiative to accumulate ideas over a period of three months with the aim of creating a new future from the perspective of young people in response to the issue of "family care burden.
Outline of "WAKA×YAMA SUMMER IDEATHON 2025"
Teams of junior and senior high school students from Wakayama Prefecture will form teams, set issues and devise solutions to social problems facing the prefecture. During the 3-month program, the teams will conduct interviews with experts and parties concerned, hold workshops, and present their ideas at a symposium that will serve as the culmination of the program.
The winning team will be entitled to receive assistance from the student organization WAKA×YAMA for future activities.

Kick-off program to learn "Design Thinking" at Adventure World
Learn about the thinking style called "Design Thinking" used in the Ideaathon through fieldwork and workshops. We will enjoy learning about "Design Thinking" through fieldwork and workshops. The theme of the fieldwork will be "Ideas for people and animals to spend time comfortably," and participants will think about problem solving with a sense of ownership while interviewing park staff.

Adventure World is a sponsor of the Ideathon. Masashi Yamamoto, President and CEO of Ours Corporation, which operates the park, will also participate as a special judge for the Ideathon. We will support junior high and high school students to put their ideas into practice in their local communities and solve problems in a sustainable manner.

With the motto "Eliminating diseases with ideas from young people", WAKA×YAMA is working to create sustainable solutions to social problems in Wakayama Prefecture. As one of its main activities, WAKA×YAMA organizes WAKA×YAMA SUMMER IDEATHON for junior and senior high school students in Wakayama Prefecture to work on problem solving over a period of about three months.
