【Support for baby growth]
The breeding staff and veterinarian watch over the parents and their babies with observation cameras so that the mothers can calmly raise their babies.
We weigh the babies regularly, and if they are not growing in weight (i.e., not drinking their mother's milk), we take the babies from their mothers and feed them milk. The baby is kept for a few days and returned to the mother when weight gain is observed.

【Working with the world to breed the Amur tiger】
The Amur tiger is a tiger that lives in northeastern China and The World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA) has selected the Amur tiger as a target species of the International Species Management Plan (GSMP), and zoos around the world are working together to preserve the species.
It is difficult to preserve the species while maintaining genetic diversity with only domestically bred individuals, so in accordance with the International Species Management Plan, we accepted a male from Hagenbeck Zoo in Germany in 2019 and a female from Seoul Grand Park in Korea in 2022, resulting in the birth of two tigers in May 2024, and now The first two babies were born in May 2024, and the fourth baby was born this time.
T he number of Amur tigers in Japan has been decreasing, although 53 baby Amur tigers have been born in Japan over the past 10 years. First, we will support the babies and their mothers so that the four animals will grow up healthy. In the future, we hope that the Amur tigers born at Adventure World will pass the baton of life in Japan and around the world, and contribute to the bright future of the Amur tiger.
About Amur Tigers]
■Classification: Carnivora
■Scientific Name: Panthera tigris altaica
■English Name: Amur Tiger
■Habitat: Northeast China to Siberia
■Diet: Horse meat and beef are fed in Adventure World.
Breeding:After a gestation period of about 100 days, one to six cubs are born in a single birth.
Newborn tigers weigh around 1 kg and are born prematurely, with their eyes still open. The young will open their eyes at around 10 days of age, but it may take up to 2 years for them to learn how to survive, including weaning and hunting training, and to become independent from their mothers.
Lifespan: In captivity, Amur tigers live 20 to 25 years.
Characteristics: The Amur tiger is the most northerly species of tiger.
They are solitary, have a large territory of 60-100㎢, and are nocturnal carnivores that hunt by walking 10km or more, sometimes 40km per night. Tiger pelts and bones are traded at high prices for ornaments and herbal medicines, leading to increased poaching and the decline of the Amur tiger population. The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) has listed the tiger as Endangered (EN).
