Adventure World will open a new area "BIRDTOPE" on July 15, 2025 (Tuesday), where you can see the original behavior of animals and discover the "beauty of life" in nature as a place for birds to live. The new area, "BIRDTOPE," will open on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
　Until now, birds have been moved from the waterfowl ponds to other facilities during the winter months as a measure against highly pathogenic avian influenza. With the opening of this new area, an environment has been created in which birds can spend their time freely and safely nesting throughout the year. By reproducing an ecological environment closer to nature, we aim to naturally nurture the flamingos and peach pelicans that live in the area. The reproduction of this ecological environment is also a reconstruction of an environment where not only birds but also a variety of aquatic organisms coexist, and a place where the "life cycle system" can be observed.
　We will never forget the 69 lives lost due to the highly pathogenic avian influenza outbreak that occurred in the park in November 2022, and we will continue to face the lives of animals and protect them in the future.
　All "life" lives in its own rhythm. We hope that you will experience such an ordinary but irreplaceable everyday life here at BIRDTOPE.

"Flamingo Waffle", a joint product development project by Ritsumeikan University's Faculty of Food Management and Adventure World, was created with the motif of flamingos living freely at "BIRDTOPE". The new "Flamingo Drink" featuring flamingos living spontaneously in "BIRDTOPE" will be available for purchase.
