Panda Bamboo Project Panda bamboo lights will be provided for a lantern-making workshop at the Nanki-Shirahama Marriott Hotel as part of the "EARTH HOUR 2024" event, a worldwide simultaneous lights-out event.

Adventure World (Wakayama, Japan), in support of the "Earth Hour," an environmental event in which the lights are turned off simultaneously around the world, will cooperate in the "Earth Hour 2024" project to be held at 10 hotels across Japan operated by Mori Trust Hotels & Resorts Co.
Under this project, lantern-making workshops will be held at banquet halls and restaurants of each hotel, utilizing discarded empty cans. As part of the Panda Bamboo Project (nature conservation and bamboo forest resource recycling with pandas as partners), the Park will provide the Nanki Shirahama Marriott Hotel (Shirahama-cho, Wakayama Prefecture; General Manager: Mr. Shoichi Sasagawa) with bamboo left uneaten by pandas for the workshop. Project members will give lectures and support the production of bamboo lanterns (bamboo lanterns).
The empty can lanterns completed at each hotel will be collected from all over Japan for the lights-out event to be held at the Tokyo Marriott Hotel on March 23, 2024 (Saturday), the day of the "EARTH HOUR" and installed at the hotel venue.
~About "EARTH HOUR" ~
