Dream Day at the Zoo (organized by Wakayama Doriday 2023 Executive Committee), a special event inviting children with disabilities and their families to the park for free, was held at Adventure World (Shirahama-cho, Wakayama Prefecture) on November 23, 2023 (Thursday, holiday).
A total of 3,901 guests from 931 groups from all over Japan visited the park, where they enjoyed event booths set up by partner organizations and companies, interacted with animals, and enjoyed marine live performances.
The event was supported by 53 sponsors and 349 crowdfunding supporters. On the day of the event, 93 Smile supporters (volunteers) and 31 organizations welcomed guests with event exhibits and workshops. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone in the community and other related organizations for their cooperation in making the event possible for the sixth time.
Through these events, we aim to realize a society where "special occasions" are replaced by "ordinary occasions" and where each and every person, regardless of their characteristics and attributes, can live together and help each other as a member of society. We will strive to realize a society where people can live together and help each other as members of society, regardless of their characteristics and attributes.

~About Wakayama Doriday 2023 Executive Committee ~
Wakayama Doriday 2023 Executive Committee is working towards a world where "people of all characteristics and attributes can freely enjoy their leisure time without concern." Since 2017, the predecessor "Dream Night at the Zoo" It was hosted by Adventure World (Ours Inc.). However, in order to get more people involved in the event, we have established the "Wakayama Doriday 2023 Executive Committee" with companies and organizations from Shirahama-cho and all over Japan who support the purpose of the event.

~The goal of the Wakayama Doriday 2023 Executive Committee:
This kind of initiative is still a "special time" for people whose options are limited by their personal characteristics and attributes. However, we believe that "disability" will cease to be a disability when it becomes a "normal time", and when we can live together and help each other as members of society, regardless of their characteristics and attributes.
We believe that "disability" will cease to be a disability if we can create a society where people can live together and help each other, regardless of their characteristics or attributes.
We will take action to achieve such a world.
