On April 20, 2013, the Rare Animal Breeding Center "PANDA LOVE" opened as a new place of encounter and excitement at Adventure World, with facilities that maintain a comfortable environment for animals throughout the year, and no glass partitions between the indoor playground and viewing corridor, allowing guests to get up close to the animals. The indoor playground and viewing aisles are not separated by glass, allowing visitors to get up close and personal with the animals.
　The three pandas living in "PANDA LOVE" are the father, Yongming, and his two sisters, Kaihin and Yangbin, who were born in 2010 and came to Adventure World when they were 2 years old, respectively.

◆Moving Preparation ◆
Yongmei is not afraid of things and had nothing to worry about, so we decided to move the day before the opening. The problem is Kaihama and Yanghama. Especially, Yohama has a fearful disposition to be startled by unfamiliar noises since she was a small girl, so we decided to move the two animals in advance and take time to get them accustomed to the new facility.
　The animals are moved to the new facility in a transport cage. When transporting animals, timid animals may be acclimated to the transport cages up to a month in advance.
　We practiced acclimating pandas to the cages by leading them to the cages with apples, their favorite food, and rewarding them when they entered. I have been in charge of a variety of animals, but I have never seen an animal as alert as a panda. It takes time for wild animals to get used to the transport cage because they are wary of unfamiliar things, but the practice was completed in only two days, and now we are just waiting for the day of the move.

◆Moving day ◆
Moving day. Kaihin and Yohama entered the cage as smoothly as the day before, but they seemed to be a little wary, putting their hind legs out of the cage, as if they felt the different atmosphere from the usual staff. However, they were pandas, and when they were distracted by the apples, they paid no attention to their surroundings, and their entire bodies went into the cage. The moment they were completely focused on the apples, they seemed to be surprised when the door closed, but they ate the apples. After moving to a bedroom in the new facility, Kaihama and Yohama were excited by the strange place and reacted to the slightest noise, but after about two hours they calmed down and slept soundly that night. Meanwhile, Eimei was very calm after the move, as we had expected.

◆"PANDA LOVE" opening◆
The day of the opening. Many visitors came to the park as soon as it opened, and they seemed to be surprised at how close they were to the pandas. The three pandas are eating and sleeping as much as usual, and they are living in good health.
