Renewal of Safari&Marine Fureai Plaza

Friday, December 07, 2012

Standing at the entrance to Fureai Hiroba, visitors will see a spacious grassy area where Japanese deer and mara can be seen leisurely grazing and resting. Part of the existing building was removed during this renovation, and the space was reborn with a sense of freedom and greenery.
A little further on is "Monkey x Monkey," where a group of monkeys live. Visitors can observe the very small monkeys actively moving through the glass, and observe their faces and gestures in detail.
After 4:00 p.m., it is time for the animals to go back to their bedrooms in the back of the petting zoo. Mara and the Japanese deer wait at the front of the room for the door to open. The most popular animal is the Cape penguin. Many visitors are attracted by the sight of the penguins walking back from the playground to their bedrooms, a distance of about 30 meters. Other animals in the park include hippopotamuses, chimpanzees, kotome otters, capybaras, and birds.
