Aiming for a recycling-oriented park that realizes a sustainable society]
The "bamboo" used for the giant pandas' diet is procured from the bamboo forests of Kishiwada City, Osaka Prefecture. In Kishiwada City, the overgrowth of bamboo is deteriorating the environment for the animals and plants living in the satoyama, so the city is cutting out the overgrown bamboo for the pandas' diet, thereby preventing the destruction of the area. In addition, giant pandas eat the leafy parts of the bamboo, so the "bamboo trunks" remain. We are promoting the use of these bamboo trunks by converting them into bio coke and bamboo powder (for food), as well as for secondary use at events
.

Origami" and "STICKY" are products made in collaboration between the design team "minna" and bamboo paper manufactured by Chuetsu Pulp & Paper Co. In Japan, neglected bamboo overgrows and encroaches on wooded areas in satoyama, affecting the ecosystem and becoming a social problem. By using 100% Japanese bamboo as the raw material for papermaking, we are protecting the satoyama environment
and taking advantage of the texture of bamboo paper, which is both supple and resilient.
