Adventure World, with the motto of
- Located throughout a wide expanse of the town of Shirahama in Wakayama Prefecture on the Kii Peninsula, home to abundant and diverse forms of life, Adventure World is a place to encounter life's beauty. Here, we coexist in partnership with around 1,600 animals of 120 different species of the land, sea, and sky from all over the world. With the idea of "Observing Life and Continuing to Ask Questions: A Place to Realize the Beauty of Life," we create experiences that move the heart through the power of edutainment, cherishing the opportunity for all our visitors to see the beauty of life that is love, connection, and possibility. We hope that the awareness generated by wonder and deep emotion will ultimately be a step toward building a world where everyone can shine. Adventure World will continue to take on this challenge in the future.

Name changed to Adventure World in 1983
The park opened as World Safari, a recreational facility full of animals from land and sea, on April 22, 1978. In 1983, this name was changed to Adventure World. Today we put smiles on the faces of all the many guests who visit the park.
