- A total of 30 years of joint project for the conservation of giant pandas successfully breeds and rears 17 pandas
-
In September 1994, two pandas arrived at Adventure World from the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in China, launching the first long-term international joint project for the conservation of giant pandas between China and a foreign zoo. This joint project for the conservation of giant pandas initiative has since faced
numerous setbacks, but determined cooperation from both nations has enabled us to overcome such difficulties. As of June 2025, the program has successfully completed 12 breeding cases, reared 17 pandas, and seen the birth of more than 20 offspring. This gives our park greater breeding track record than any other international joint
breeding facility.
