For a junior high school SDGs research project, we ran a three-day program where students explored SDGs with pandas as their topic. By observing and interacting with pandas, and hearing from their keepers, students learned about panda ecology, their wild habitat, and why breeding research is so important. Then, they gave presentations on social issues, all centered around the theme 'Thinking about SDGs through Giant Pandas.' The giant pandas really helped them think about SDGs from lots of different angles, and they even realized how all the goals are connected!
