  • Kinki University Signs Agreement on Industry-University Collaboration

    Adventure World x Kinki University
    Signed an agreement on industry-academia collaboration.We will develop research using genetic resources such as rare animals.

    Kinki University, which succeeded in the world's first complete cultivation of bluefin tuna, and Adventure World are working together to develop various industry-academia collaborative activities, including exhibits and rare animal research, and to revitalize the local community.

  • JR West Wrapping Train

    In collaboration with JR West, the "Panda Kuroshio 'Smile Adventure Train'" began operation in August 2017, and the "Panda Kuroshio 'Sustainable Smile Train'" will start operation in July 2020.   • McDonald's Happy Set Plarail

    Panda Kuroshio "Smile Adventure Train", planned jointly with JR West Japan, has appeared as a toy in the "Happy Set" menu for children sold by McDonald's Japan. (Appeared twice in total in November 2018/November 2020)

  • Meiko Bus Wrapping Bus

    In cooperation with Meiko Bus Co., Ltd. the "Panda Shirahama Express - Tsunagu Smile Bus for the Future" wrapped bus will be in operation from 2019. It mainly operates as a direct service from Osaka Station to Adventure World. In addition, a giant panda-themed wrapped bus, "Panda Shirahama Adventure Bus - Smile Bus to Carry Memories" will begin operation in 2021 as a route bus within Shirahama Town. In 2023, the bus will start running with 12 different illustrations of Adventure World's animals, including giant pandas. The buses are mainly operated between JR Shirahama Station and Adventure World and between Shirahama Onsen Town and Adventure World. As a bus that promotes a bright future for people and animals, the buses add color to the "Toki (time)" of local residents and visitors alike.

  • Hankai Railway Wrapping Cars

    In 2006, a train wrapped in the image of the park appeared on the Hankai Railway, running through the streets of Osaka as "Panden," bringing smiles to the faces of many people. In 2025, the train will be redesigned with a new wrapping design, and a photo book, "To the side of life, by the side of life," will be published to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Japan-China joint breeding study of giant pandas.     The Smile Adventure Train began operation to commemorate the 30th anniversary of JR West's inauguration in 2017 and the 40th anniversary of the opening of Adventure World in 2018. In collaboration with Takara Tomy Arts, the train was released exclusively in the park as Choro-Q.

    In collaboration with Japan Airlines Co., Ltd. we offer in-flight novelty goods (free-use notebooks) for children on domestic flights to and from Tokyo (Haneda). The novelty free book has a design of "Saibin," a giant panda living in Adventure World, on the cover and an introduction of the six giant pandas on the back.     Two traditional Chinese flavors, white bean paste and chestnut bean paste, are available. The FSC certified paper, which certifies that the wood and wood products originate from the forests where the forests are managed and logged in consideration of the environment and local communities in order to protect the forest environment, was used for the first time in the Park for the packaging.

    To celebrate the birth of the giant panda Kaedehama, we collaborated with Surugaya, a long-established Japanese confectionery in Wakayama Prefecture, to sell yokan with packages featuring seven adorable giant pandas. Three flavors of yokan are available: neri yokan, green tea, and dainagon.

    Since 2018, we have been visiting TCH with our animals to hold events for children at the Play Creation Square TSURUMI Children's Hospice (hereinafter referred to as TCH) TCH is a place where children with life-threatening illnesses and their families can feel at home, as if it were home. TCH is a place where children with life-threatening illnesses and their families can feel at home, and a place where they can interact with local residents. We hope to create a "time" when everyone who attends can be happy, and to provide an opportunity for many people to learn about TCH through the event.

    ～What is Dream Night at the Zoo?

    An international program that invites children with disabilities and their families to visit zoos and aquariums for a fun and carefree time. 1996, the program started at the Rotterdam Zoo in the Netherlands, and is now held in about 40 countries and more than 25 facilities in Japan.

  • Wakayama Dream Ambassador for Traffic Safety

    Saibama and Kaedehama served as "Wakayama Dream Ambassadors for Traffic Safety" for six years from 2019 to 2024. On the occasion of their return to Japan, the Wakayama Prefectural Police presented a letter of appreciation to Saibama and Kaedehama.

    In Wakayama Prefecture, traffic safety campaigns are held four times a year throughout the prefecture to prevent traffic accidents. In the hope that children will not be involved in traffic accidents and grow up healthy and fulfilling their dreams, "Saihama" became the "Traffic Safety Wakayama Dream Ambassador" in 2019 and has been active for three years. The ambassador baton was passed on to Kaedehama, who has continued public relations activities as the second Traffic Safety Wakayama Dream Ambassador since 2022.
