- It's been 30 years since the Giant Panda Conservation Joint Project began, and we've successfully bred and raised 17 pandas!
- In September 1994, two giant pandas arrived at Adventure World from China's Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. This kicked off the world's first long-term international Giant Panda Conservation Joint Project between China and an overseas zoo. The project faced many hurdles, but thanks to the combined efforts of Japan and China, we've overcome them and are still going strong today. As of June 2025, we've successfully raised 17 pandas through 12 breeding attempts, and over 20 descendants have been born! This makes us the facility with the most successful breeding achievements among all international Giant Panda Conservation Joint Projects.
