Eighteen animals of four species, including red pandas, were brought in from Jinan Zoo in Shandong Province, and 13 animals of six species, including elephants and giraffes, were brought in from the Park.

Since 1994, the Chengdu Zoo and the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base have dispatched a total of more than 70 staff members for breeding management and breeding research.
