I want to gather everyone's strength to create this work.
It doesn't matter if what we can do is small or if we don't know what we can do.
The sparkle that is created by gathering everyone's power
The door that reaffirms our connection with nature
The power to strengthen the connection between people and their hearts
I believe there are hints for the coexistence and peace of all living things.
Bamboo and pandas are bound together by a bond,
at Adventure World.
With all the staff
and everyone who came to visit us
I have been making bamboo lanterns for a long time, and the connection

Taiwanese artist Wen-Chi Wang was invited to Adventure World in 2023 to create the work "Love of
Saihama". He was inspired to create "Glimmering Hill" when he saw many parents and children playing there.
The idea for the work "Glimmering Hill" came from seeing many parents and their children playing together. The combination of large and small structures made of woven bamboo evokes the "connection" of two "hills," one large and one small, as evoked by the mountain ranges of Wakayama Prefecture. It is the connection between the two places and cultures of Adventure World and Wakayama Prefecture, and the way the boardwalk connects humans and nature. This
The concept of "connection" implies that humans and animals are passed on from generation to generation. Just as nature nurtures us, it also passes life from generation to generation. Wang Wen-chieh chose bamboo as the material for his work, with the intention of inviting the viewer into the mountains and forests to feel the compassion of nature. The "sparkle" symbolizes deep gratitude and hope, and hopes to light up the love of nature for people around the world. Our thoughts may be small, but when gathered together, they can sublimate and illuminate Wakayama, Japan, and the global environment. This time, we decided to collaborate with Oyasama's team (CHIKAKEN), which produces "Bamboo Akari" to express people's appreciation and respect for nature and the mountains.
Visitors walk around in this "sparkling hill" work. Then, by day, they experience the awe and spirituality of nature in the changing space of light and shadow, and by night, they experience the starry sky, light, and reflections in the fantastic space created by the bamboo light.
In the different atmospheres of day and night, you will experience new hope and an upwelling of excitement,
and the infinite possibilities of nurturing life.

The bamboo is a vital and growing force. Bamboo is a plant of exceptional vitality and growth, capable of semi-permanent renewal.
It is a truly sustainable material that can be renewed semi-permanently. Bamboo is a truly sustainable material that can be renewed semi-permanently.
It is a special kind of material that truly bridges the gap between human society, which is based on the assumption of large scale consumption, and the great proposition of preserving the natural environment.
