In August 2020, we visited China's Ambassador to Japan, Ambassador Kong Cheng Yu, and continued to hold talks on the development of China-Japan Great Bear Cat cooperation. In September of the same year, we also visited the Chinese General Chancellor, Mr. Ge Zhenliang and Mr. Zhang Yu-ping, Vice Chancellor, and had a meeting. The members of the Osaka General University in China, headed by Mr. You Zhenliang, are very friendly with us here in Osaka, and we are looking forward to welcoming you to "Saihama", the big bear cat, on the day of its birth. When the pneumonia epidemic began in January 2020, Wakayama Prefecture donated 50,000 medical supplies to the provinces of Shandong and Sichuan, and many Chinese related groups and schools in the prefecture sent out video clips of the new bear cat, "Saihama". In addition to the 50,000 mouthfuls of money donated to the Shandong Province and the 10,000 mouthfuls of money donated to the Sichuan Province, these donations have helped to deepen the friendship between China and Japan.
