The return date for our four giant pandas, Rauhin, Yuihin, Saihin, and Fuhin, has been decided!
We're excited to let you know that the return date for our four giant pandas – Rauhin (らうひん), Yuihin (ゆいひん), Saihin (さいひん), and Fuhin (ふうひん) – who live here at Adventure World, has been set for Saturday, June 28, 2025! We previously mentioned they'd be heading back to China around the end of June, and now it's official.
Before they leave, there will be a one-month quarantine period starting Monday, May 26. During this time, you'll be able to see all four pandas through glass.
Also, to say goodbye to these four pandas who've brought us so much love and so many smiles, we're holding a special farewell ceremony at Big Ocean on Friday, June 27.

3. About the Quarantine Period (Farewell Period)
We'll have a necessary quarantine period to check on the health of all four pandas before they head home. This time will also be a special farewell period for you, our guests, to come and see them.
Period: Monday, May 26, 2025 - Friday, June 27, 2025
How to see them:
They'll be on display behind glass, and won't be in the outdoor exercise area.
To help manage crowds, there might be limits on how many people can view them or for how long.

Yuihin and Fuhin: Panda Love Indoor Exercise Area
*During the quarantine period, viewing at Panda Love will be through the glass from outside the building. It might be a bit harder to see them than usual, so we appreciate your understanding.
*Please note that public viewing may be suspended without notice for the pandas' health management.
4. About the Farewell Ceremony
Date & Time: Friday, June 27, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 4:45 PM
Location: Big Ocean
Content: A ceremony to look back on memories with the pandas and celebrate their new journey.
*Details about the farewell ceremony will be announced later.
5. Looking Ahead
We're so grateful for your support of the Giant Panda Conservation Joint Project over the past 30 years. The current joint project contract ends in August this year, and after discussions between Japan and China, it was decided that our four giant pandas – Rauhin, Yuihin, Saihin, and Fuhin – will return to Chengdu, China, in June, when the weather is a bit cooler. We really hope these four pandas, who were born and raised in Shirahama, will live happily and healthily in their new home. Adventure World will continue to work with China to keep the joint project going and make even more contributions in the future.
6. Meet the Giant Pandas Heading Home
⚫️Rauhin (らうひん)
Date of Birth: September 6, 2000 (24 years old)
Place of Birth: Adventure World
Gender: Female
Rauhin was the first giant panda born at Adventure World! When she was little, she was super playful and loved playing with tires and balls in the exercise area. Rauhin grew up to be a wonderful mother, raising many cubs and becoming just as good at it as her own mom, Meimei.
⚫️Yuihin (ゆいひん)
Date of Birth: September 18, 2016 (8 years old)
Place of Birth: Adventure World
Gender: Female
Born at 197g, Yuihin was the biggest panda cub ever born at our park! Her name, "Yuihin," carries the wish that she will connect precious things inherited from the "past" to the next generation, along with the global panda family. It also expresses the hope that she will "tie together" all kinds of values, cultures, languages, and species, creating a "future" full of sustainable smiles. Her cute pointy head is her charm point! This feature became noticeable around four months old, when she started walking on her own.
⚫️Saihin (さいひん)
Date of Birth: August 14, 2018 (6 years old)
Place of Birth: Adventure World
Gender: Female
Saihin was the smallest panda born at our park, weighing just 75g at birth! Her tiny body, nurtured by her mother Rauhin's love, and her determined spirit brought courage and hope to so many people. Her name, "Saihin," expresses the wish that she will continue to bring color to everyday life and create a future full of smiles and happiness, inspiring everyone to be bright and positive. She's grown up healthy without any major illnesses or injuries and is always full of energy!
⚫️Fuhin (ふうひん)
Date of Birth: November 22, 2020 (4 years old)
Place of Birth: Adventure World
Gender: Female
Born right in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, Fuhin brought bright hope and comfort to so many people! Her name, "Fuhin," holds the wish that she will grow beautifully, just like the maple leaves that change colors in autumn, and be loved and warmly watched over by many. She was super active right after she was born, so energetic that she almost rolled off her mom's belly!
