Thank you for many Smiles. "Eimei" passed away after 32 years of life.
In January 2025, Eimei, a giant panda, passed away peacefully after 32 years of life.
Yongming was born on September 14, 1992, at the Beijing Zoo in China, and came to Adventure World on September 6, 1994, for Japan-China joint breeding research.
After his arrival, he fathered six cows with Meimei and ten cows with Raohin, for a total of 16 cows.
In February 2023, Yongming left for the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding and Research Base in China with his daughters Ouhin and Tohin, and lived a peaceful life under the care of professional staff.
However, in January 2025, Yongming began to show signs of fatigue and loss of appetite, and although the veterinarian breeding team continued to work hard to treat him, he eventually passed away peacefully due to multiple organ failure.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the staff members and officials at the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding and Research Station who have supported Yongming's health over the years, and to all the fans who loved him so much.
During his life, Yongming made great contributions to the protection and breeding of giant pandas and played an important role as a bridge of friendship between China and Japan. His achievements will forever be engraved in our hearts and passed on to the future.
We will never forget Yongming's graceful figure and warm eyes. Please rest in peace.
Thank you, Yongming, for all your long years of service.

So far, 13 offspring of Yongming have been transferred to China, and four have been successfully bred, leaving more than 20 offspring.
In 2011, "Yongming" and "Rahama" were awarded the title of "Wakayama Prefectural Order of Merit" for their contribution to the promotion of Wakayama Prefecture throughout the country.
In 2018, he was awarded the Grand Prix of the Japan Animal Prize for his contribution to species preservation.
