In February 2023, it was decided that three of the seven giant pandas living at Adventure World – Eimei, Ohin, and Tohin – would travel to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in Sichuan Province, China.

Eimei turned 30 this year. As the patriarch of our giant panda family, he fathered 16 cubs and continuously broke records for the oldest male to naturally breed, making significant contributions to the joint Japan-China breeding research.

Ohin and Tohin are twin sisters who turned 8 in December.

We want to send Eimei, Ohin, and Tohin to China with our heartfelt gratitude and respect for Eimei, and with high hopes for Ohin and Tohin's future breeding.
