Chapman zebra (Equus zebra)

The stripes are characterized by light brownish shadow stripes between the stripes. These stripes are said to serve as a protective coloration, and when they are in groups, the patterns overlap, making it difficult to distinguish one from another. They live in herds in grasslands, and a herd usually consists of one male, several females, and their offspring, numbering about six or seven.
