Hokkaido brown bear (Ursus arctos yesoensis)

The largest mammal in Japan. It is a subspecies of the brown bear and lives mainly in the forests, wilderness, and highlands of Hokkaido.
They are omnivorous, feeding on nuts, grasses, and other plants, as well as birds, small mammals, and fish.
